Kerry laps Edwards here

Heading into Thursday's debate at USC, John Kerry leads John Edwards in California by a whopping 32 points, the latest L.A. Times Poll finds. The debate will include those two leaders in the Democratic race plus Dennis Kucinich and Al Sharpton. It's being sponsored by CNN and the L.A. Times and held at Bovard Auditorium. The network's Larry King will moderate a panel that includes LAT national political writer Ron Brownstein and editorial page editor Janet Clayton.

The debate will be broadcast live nationally on CNN and here on KCRW from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The election is a week from today. California is one of ten states that will vote on Super Tuesday to allot more than half the delegates needed to win the Democratic presidential nomination.
