Rosanna Mah at the L.A. Independent discovers (and clearly adores) Tiffany Stone. The headline calls her "Princess Tiffany: Bridget Jones of the Blogs" and a great photo of the blogger at work accompanies.
Enter Tiffany Alana Stone, a literary disciple of the legendary Jack Kerouac, a professional Hollywood script reader, and unofficial queen of the ever-growing world of the Internet web logs, or blogs as they have come to be known. Her daily updated blog, called “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” often picks up where Variety and The Hollywood Reporter leave off — or don’t even dare go — filled with irreverence, wit and a unique take on stars, celebrities and on the world of how movies are made.
How did I live in LA for 15 years without ever hearing of the L.A. Independent? What do they cover? Is it like that "310" paper, or the Brentwood one? It's amazing what a photo of a comely lass can do to collect attention.
Posted by: Crid at April 2, 2004 11:06 AMWhen did the neighborhood throwaway the Independent stop being delivered in neighborhoods? I was at the library a couple of weeks ago and noticed a big stack there, which made me realize I couldn't remember the last time I'd picked one up off the sidewalk. Which is too bad, as it's a very useful resource for finding things like cheap, local drain decloggers. And of course, everyone always loved the Crime Blotter. I miss reading the Crime Blotter while walking the dog! Have they just cut out Silver Lake delivery (and if so, why?) or is this a citywide situation?
Posted by: Cathy Seipp at April 2, 2004 11:07 AMI believe the Independent was sold to the WAVE about five years ago. It's been changing since then.

Posted by: Sarah at April 2, 2004 01:56 PMobviously, writing in l.a. should have the "screen" prefix attached to it because no one would read their crap unless they thought it would get them a SAG card.
Posted by: swimmingwithdorks at April 3, 2004 04:38 PMIt's great that *anonymous* blogger TMFTML was so in need of more links and attention that he put a link in my comments section to his URL saying to go there to comment about me. Maybe he was annoyed when spoonbender.com compared us. It's really quite lovely that TMFTML has a lot of friends promo whoring for him/her.
