Subscribers to Ron Fineman's On the Record are voting on the best TV news anchor team in Los Angeles. The field has narrowed to two finalists: Channel 7's Marc Brown and Michele Tuzee (they lead) and Channel 4's Paul Moyer and Colleen Williams. Fineman observes with interest that the new guy at Channel 2, Paul Magers, and Channel 5's Hal Fishman didn't get a single vote.
I feel pretty sure that Fineman, who used to work in L.A. broadcasting, will never get invited to a KTLA party. His comments show he doesn't like that morning anchor Sharon Tay is on the air, and he speculates Monday, based on her recent fashion spread in Razor magazine and comments by her co-workers, that she has undergone some surgical enhancements. Her personal site has an assortment of wallpapers of her for fans to decide, as well as the lowdown on (sic) "Sharons beauty regiment."
Is it my imagination, or does Fineman have a history of criticizing minority women who work in local TV journalism? Hmm.
And in other news, I can't forget the time, when Tuzee was fairly new to ABC7, that she couldn't identify an aerial shot of City Hall. It was her turn to transition to the commercial break, and she was stumbling, saying something like, Air Seven is live over ... And Brown had to recover the ball with a, That's City Hall ...

By what criteria are they judging? KNBC news is the worst. Paul Moyer is a Thunderbird puppet of stiffness who is completely unable to talk off a teleprompter. Plus my best friend's wife caught him staring at her rack while dining in Santa Monica.
