Assignment editor alert

An Internet message board with an obvious slant, AntiPolygraph.org, has a thread alleging to be inside info on problems in the LAPD polygraph unit. The thread includes numerous anonymous emails about an Internal Affairs Division investigation into altered polygraph results, forged signatures and upset staffers. Is any of it true? I have no idea.

I like that site. Their 176 page paper/book called "lie behind the lie detector" is a good read. They are convincing as non-crackpots.

He is pretty balanced. Still, you can't go on hearsay alone. Kevin's right--an adult needs to do some exploratory work here.

I agree with Joseph that one cannot go on hearsay alone. I think these allegations ought to be looked into by an investigative journalist. As noted in the linked message thread, AntiPolygraph.org has been provided with a list of persons who, it is claimed, can corroborate the allegations. To protect those persons against possible retaliation, we did not publish their names and contact information. However, we will provide them to legitimate journalists who request them. Inquiries may be sent to info@antipolygraph.org.
