Westside shopping mall threat

KNBC reported that the LAPD has issued a threat advisory after federal officials received an "unsubstantiated potential threat of an attack" planned against an unspecified West Los Angeles shopping mall for Thursday. Malls are enhancing security and more LAPD will be on the streets.

Mayor Jim Hahn "is urging all Los Angeles residents to go on with their daily lives while remaining vigilant and alert," said press deputy Shannon Murphy. "If the public sees anything suspicious, they should call 1-877-A-THREAT."
