Comments switched off back on

I've turned off the comments function for a few hours to see if that stops a spam attack that began last night. Robots drop spam into the older comments on this blog (and many others) hoping to increase the Google ranking of various porn and drug websites. Amy Alkon may have traced the perp to Ecuador, and she also suggests a possible workaround.

Back on...though one of the first comments to come in was one of the penis enlargment spams again, so I could have to block it again later.
