TextFashion dishers Joan Rivers and her daughter Melissa are poised to defect from E! for an $8 million deal at the TV Guide Channel, the New York Post says. A&E also bid for the pair. At E!, the CEO Mindy Herman left under a cloud last month, the channel's daily news show has changed anchors and been cut back to half an hour in recent months, and some fans feel it hasn't had enough star power since Steve Kmetko and Jules Asner left the anchor chairs.
