Supporting stem cell work

The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, the largest business group in town, today endorsed the California Stem Cell Research and Cures Initiative that will be on the November ballot. "This initiative makes good economic sense," said George Kieffer, the chamber's chair, in a release. "The entire Southern California region is poised to benefit substantially from this measure, given our standing as a hub for top medical and research institutions."
