Tonight's Nightline will take a vacation from war and politics to ride some 25-foot waves at Maverick's Beach up near San Francisco. The show's note says: "So this is one of those summer nights when we just wanted to have a little fun, take a break from all of the other stories that seem to dominate our world these days."
They know that. The summer break meant the viewers. They filmed their spot some months back, they said.
