Couldn't find an L.A. angle, except that Henri Cartier-Bresson's photographs probably hang in every museum in town. The Reuters story on his death at age 95 calls him "one of the great photographers of the 20th century and a founding father of modern photojournalism."
Also the site of his foundation and the Magnum photo agency has a tribute.

This truly is a big loss to the art/photography world even though he has abandoned photography many years ago. If anyone is not familiar with his work, check out a site like http://www.photology.com/bresson/ for some examples of his work.
