Tighter...

Dodgers' Brad PennyNothing good about tonight for the Dodgers. Savior-to-be Brad Penny wasn't to be, throwing half his pitches for balls, walking five and leaving abruptly in the fourth inning with the same stabbing pain that benched him for a month. The hitters struck out a dozen times, left 11 runners on base, and scored nada. Cesar Izturis, the smooth shortstop, even threw one away. Unfortunately, up north the Giants — facing a better pitcher than the one who shut down the Dodgers — rose to the challenge and knocked him out. The Dodgers lead is now just half a game.
