This ad ran in Sunday's LAT Book Review:

Writer to collaborate on sensational, unsolved murder of prominent, wealthy L.A. businessman in early 30s. The first time two people (my grandparents) were first tried by judge, not jury, for murder. He found them guilty but a subsequent jury trial said otherwise. I have all the court records, front-page newspaper stories, photos and ideas. I'm a retired advertising writer in Ohio who needs a local partner who can help me put everything in fiction or non-fiction book form and get it published. Object: Financial reward for both of us.

He gives a contact email and phone number. Also in Book Review, The Atlantic's Benjamin Schwarz writes that Kevin Starr's new installment, Coast of Dreams: California on the Edge, 1990-2003, hones in on the loss of the California dream that filled his previous volumes on the state.
