• Zankou Chicken in Glendale was vandalized with red paint after the owner chose to stay open last Sunday, the day commemorating the killing of 1.5 million Armenians in Ottoman Turkey in 1915.
• Univision is touting the hiring of Mexican TV and journalism celebrity Fabiola Kramsky to anchor the 11 p.m. news show "Solo a las Once" on Channel 34 here.
• FishbowlLA decides to pick on Nikki Finke for awhile and gets her to explain her long-ago divorce settlement from Jeffrey Greenberg.
• LA Radio.com says Laura Ingraham is off the air at KRLA this week recovering from breast cancer surgery.
• Reason's Matt Welch had an op-ed piece in the Times yesterday arguing against tax breaks and other perks to keep Hollywood productions in the city of L.A.
• In one lyrical post this morning at Dodger Thoughts, Jon Weisman ties together the B-52s, questionable managing, Elaine Benes, his annoyance at flying beachballs in the stadium, and the story of how he met his wife and married her five years ago today: "I love that girl."
• Spending limits were lifted in the 11th district city council runoff, due to independent expenditures.
