Here's how it works: You send your resume, writing samples, family info and agent status to an anonymous email address. Then you submit to a background check and sign an NDA. Maybe then you'll get to help an elderly, unwell former "huge star" pen his or her juicy tell-all book. Posted at craiglist this morning:

We are looking for a ghost writer to work with our client who was a huge actor/entertainer in the 40s and 50s. He has agreed to work with a writer on a tell all story that will definately be lucrative for our client as well as the writer. Time is also of the essence as our client is not physically well.
Our client and their family will be cooperative in every step of the process.
We are asking for resumes and samples of writings. Please also let us know if you have a literary agent.
You must know that a background check will be performed and that you will be asked to sign a legally binding non-disclosure statement. Candidates must also reveal if they have relatives or close friends that were actors/actresses during the 1940s or 1950s to determine if there will be a conflict of interest.
Serious candidates only due to the time factor.
We look forward to hearing from you.

They'll probably get a ton of emails.
