David Romero, CHP officer was 47

Mayor Villaraigosa ordered flags on city-owned poles lowered to half-staff today and tomorrow to honor Romero. He was killed last Friday in the City of Industry when his stopped California Highway Patrol motorcycle was struck from behind by a speeding car. The driver was arrested and might have been intoxicated. Romero, out of the Santa Fe Springs office, left a wife and five children.
