Laura lost her battle with cancer on Saturday night. Her sister Celia blogs about her loss with love and a heavy heart at 5th and Spring. I never met Laura and I believe only met Celia once on a story assignment several years ago, but their updates on the disease (including at Laura's own website) touched the L.A. blogging community. Many responded to a blood drive earlier this month, and some will remember the photo of Laura's downtown rooftop wedding in May. Celia has posted information about services here and in Hawaii.
