Storm of change at WGA

Members of the Writers Guild of America/west threw out the old and voted in the entire "Writers United" slate of new board members, plus new president Patric M. Verrone. Turnout was one of the highest ever. The "Common Sense" slate led by Ted Elliot lost by a 2 to 1 margin across the board. Here's the WGA release, with the names of all the winners and losers and a statement from Verrone that reads in part:

"We look forward to working closely with the eight other, sitting Board members. We also want to assure all members that there is plenty of room in the Guild for the service and abilities of the hard-working and devoted men and women who ran for an office or board seat but were not elected."
