'Walking' gets a home *

SalemMixed-media artist Lisa Salem, who began walking Los Angeles streets in May with a digital video camera attached to a baby stroller, has found a good home for her art. Stephen Grace, president of LA36, saw a posting on Salem this summer and became interested in her project. They met and LA36 has agreed to televise her street videos, probably beginning in October. The community cable channel will also help web-host the videos, which up to now have appeared infrequently online. Salem's latest video was shot during August strolls in Pasadena and South-Central L.A.

* Podcast from last month: Chris Vallance of Pocket Planet Radio talks with Salem.
