How to draw a crowd

Judith Miller has just been added to the Saturday lineup at the California First Amendment Coalition Assembly on Saturday at Cal State Fullerton. The New York Times reporter who spent time in jail for refusing to name a source will present an award to Mark Felt, the "Deep Throat" source for Bob Woodward's reporting on Watergate in the Washington Post and the book All The President's Men. Hopefully we'll get a residual attendance boost at the panel about blogging I'm on with Mack Reed and Dan Gillmor at 10:30 that morning. Other speakers at the two-day event include San Francisco Chronicle Editor Phil Bronstein, Linda Deutsch of Associated Press, Orange County DA Tony Rackauckas, Bruce Brugmann of the San Francisco Bay Guardian, L.A. Times legal counsel Karlene Goller and First Amendment lawyer Floyd Abrams.
