Westwood traffic mess *

Because of the anti-Bush protest along Wilshire Boulevard this afternoon and evening, city and UCLA officials are warning of street closures in the Westwood area. Veteran Avenue is already closed, Wilshire and Westwood Boulevard will be blocked intermittently from 5 pm on, and the latest email going around the UCLA campus says the ramps on and off the San Diego Freeway will be shut—so good luck out there! No details yet on the city DOT website, but here's the UCLA message:

Important updated information regarding “The World Can’t Wait” demonstration at the Federal Building. 5pm to 11pm, Wednesday November 2, 2005

Closures:

Beginning at 11am and ending as late as 11pm. Veteran Avenue, from south of Wilshire to north of Ohio Avenue will be closed.
