Had to happen...*

On the third commuting day of the Valley busway, an Orange Line bus was hit by a car on Woodman Avenue. They are expecting up to ten injuries, Channel 4 says.

* 6:15 pm update: Actually there were two accidents today involving Orange Line buses. Fourteen were injured in the Woodman Avenue crash, including the critically hurt driver. From LATimes.com:

The driver of a car apparently ran a red light and was talking on her cell phone at the time of the more serious accident about 2 p.m. this afternoon, according to Los Angeles County sheriff's Sgt. Dave Willard.

County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky called on the MTA to reduce the speed of the buses. Not sure how that would have helped in today's crash: she ran the red light and hit the back of the bus before it cleared the intersection.
