CBS2 anchor Kent Shocknek blogs a little something on the station website almost every day. Earlier this week he had some fun with the governor's motorcycle accident. It's usually light like that, but today he sends a message to neighbors who dump their Christmas trees out on the curb.

KentThese are the days you learn what your neighbors think of you. And you don't even have to ask. They let you know, with their garbage... where they put it on the curb.... and how long, before trash day.

On my block, it's unanimous: my neighbors hate me. Otherwise, I'm hard-pressed to explain why three of the four houses closest to me, would toss out their old Christmas trees, directly adjacent to my driveway. Or maybe they think I'm a tree doctor. A bark beetle would feel right at home.

It'd be petty to use this influential electronic podium to announce my neighbors are inconsiderate jerks, so I won't. Besides, they're probably very considerate. In fact, by the time I get home, I won't be surprised, if one of them has plopped an old couch out there, too, so I'll have a comfy spot to watch my new mini-forest until trash day... a week from now.

Hmm, wonder where he lives. And whether he gets egged at Halloween.
