Jackson exiting?

JacksonDavid Jackson is leaving the KCAL-9 news after tomorrow, says Ron Fineman's On the Record, citing sources: "One source says they are told that this was Jackson's decision, exercising an option to leave after two years. Another source, not sure of whose decision it was, says Jackson wanted to do more traveling, reporting from faraway places, which is the way it was when Jackson anchored with KCAL the first time." He has reported in the Persian Gulf, Vietnam, Korea, Japan, Bosnia, Somalia, Israel, the West Bank, Gaza, Syria and Afghanistan, and says in his KCAL bio that the Falklands War was his favorite story. Jackson rejoined KCAL in April 2004. Also: Fineman says Fox-11 reporter Beth McDade has been hired at CBS-2/KCAL-9 as a reporter and fill-in anchor.
