Where's T Bone?

A confounded LA Observed reader sent along this little observation about tonight's T Bone Burnett show on Wilshire:

This is just plain weird.

El Rey signA couple of months ago I bought a ticket for T Bone Burnett's show tonight, originally scheduled for the Wilshire Ebell. A few weeks later I get one of these regular e-mail solicitations from Ticketmaster saying, "Be sure to get your tickets for T Bone Burnett at the El Rey Theater," same day, same time. I call Ticketmaster, find out finally that the venue had been changed, and the original tickets will be honored (it's standing only at the El Rey).

On Sunday I get a further e-mail from Ticketmaster saying the venue has been changed, it's now at the Wilshire Ebell. (Fine with me, I'd rather sit.)

Then just this morning I get another e-mail from Ticketmaster, saying it's back at the El Rey. It would be nice to know just what the hell is going on.

For what it's worth, the Wilshire Ebell Theatre box office agrees that the show won't be there tonight. They're not much help, though. The theater's website simply tells patrons "For further information, please call Silva Touring at (310) 246-5200." The El Rey, meanwhile, does list Burnett and Jakob Dylan tonight. Enjoy the show—and for once it's a good thing he gave Ticketmonster his email address.
