A little less Mystique

creditWhen Spa Mystique opened at the Century Plaza Hotel & Spa in 2001, it was billed as Los Angeles' largest luxury spa—a 35,000-square-foot "oasis of serenity, offering hotel guests and day-spa guests alike a respite from the stresses of travel and daily life." Westside locals joined to use the pool and hordes descended at holidays to buy gift certificates. Well, if you have any of those gifts lying around, you better use them. Employees and members have been told that the spa closes Sept. 5 to be made-over into an Equinox fitness club.
