Glenn Ford, actor was 90

Glenn FordHollywood lost another stalwart today. Actor Glenn Ford was found dead by paramedics called to his Beverly Hills home about 4 pm. Ford lived with his son Peter and his family. Ford's official movie debut came in 1939 in Heaven with a Barbed Wire Fence, and he went on to deliver memorable performances in The Blackboard Jungle and Gilda. As a youngster in Santa Monica he rode his first horse at Will Rogers' ranch, where he worked grooming horses after school. He later became known for his acting in westerns and worked until at least 1991. His star is in front of 6933 Hollywood Boulevard.
