Village Voice gets its editor

David Blum takes over at the Village Voice Sept. 12. He is a New York media veteran. Blum began at the Wall Street Journal in 1979, jumped to Esquire then New York Magazine, and contributed and edited at the New York Times Magazine. He teaches at Columbia and has been the television critic for the New York Sun. His books include Flash in the Pan: The Life and Death of an American Restaurant and Tick...Tick...Tick...: The Long Life and Turbulent Times of 60 Minutes. I'm sure they are closely watching at the LA Weekly to see what it means for them. (Link via Romenesko)
