New delay on Breeze deal?

Staffers at the South Bay Daily Breeze were previously told to switch to a new, post-Copley ownership timecard as of Sunday. That directive has been cancelled:

Subject: Timecards

All employees,

Thank you all for your cooperation in submitting your timecards earlier than expected.

Please complete the entire timecard and submit it according to your regular schedule. In other words, your timecard will have hours worked from 12/04/06 through 12/17/06. Thanks again for your understanding.

Sincerely,

Caryn G. Ratcliff
Human Resources Director
Copley Los Angeles Newspapers

Sounds like they now don't expect the sale to Hearst and Dean Singleton will take effect for at least a week.
