Downtown's big pit

Construction pitTimes columnist Steve Lopez isn't the only one keeping a literal eye on construction of the new LAPD headquarters on the downtown block where a civic park should be instead. Anthony Santana chronicles the big dig in pictures from his unit high in the Higgins Building on 2nd Street. "Only two more years of 5 am construction noise, what a deal!," he writes. This is today's entry, with the Spring Street face of the Times building on the left.
