Next record store to go

House of RecordsThe House of Records on Pico at 33rd Street claims to be — despite its Santa Monica location — "Los Angeles' oldest record store," founded in 1952. Don't know about that, but I know it has loyal fans. Email correspondent Bob Patterson writes that the store's Going Out of Business sale is on and runs until mid-June. No mention on the website, but there is a banner hanging outside the store announcing that everything must go.
