Departure from Daily News

Annie Hundley arrived just last summer to run valleynews.com, the citizen journalism part of the Daily News website. Not any more, says this staff email from editor Ron Kaye:

everyone:

I'm very saddened to announce that Annie Hundley who came out of nowhere to help us launce [sic] valleynews.com has decided to pack up her husband, dog and belongings and go home to Oregon and try to find an alternative to journalism. Personally, I think she'll find the weather lousy and there is no alternative to journalism since all the other jobs have moved offshore to India and China.

Still, I owe Annie a debt of gratitude for bringing her citizen journalism expertise here from Denver last summer and for all the hard work she's done. I wish her the best.

Thanks, Annie

ron
