LA Weekly dominates alt awards
The LA Weekly brought home seven first place ribbons from the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies awards — best cartoon, column, photography, special section, website design, news story (short form) and food criticism. In that competition, Nikki Finke's blog came in second. Pasadena Weekly's Kevin Uhrich tied for the top spot in media criticism by smaller weeklies. All the winners and finalists here.
