Calabasas limits smoking in apartments

The new law will ban smoking on patios, balconies and porches in 80 percent of rental buildings by 2012. Up to 20 percent of buildings can be set aside for smokers, and smokers in apartments designated as nonsmoking will be grandfathered in until they move.
