Two days ago, Dodger Thoughts blogger Jon Weisman signed up as a YouTube user and posted footage of Dodger farmhand Clayton Kershaw throwing one spring training pitch — strike three to grizzled veteran Sean Casey. "Ohhh what a curve ball! Holy mackerel," Vin Scully exclaimed. That 25-second clip has passed 659,000 views. In two days.

Farewell to Vero Beach: Some Dodgers players and staff, plus Spanish-language announcer Jaime Jarrin and MLB.com beat writer Ken Gurnick, packed up today to leave Vero Beach for the last time. They're going on the China trip and will meet up again with the team in Arizona. "On this day, it was weird to stand on the balcony of the administration building and watch a couple of innings knowing that we likely won't be back. In fact, I stood there the night before, too, with the stadium empty and thought about all the legends who had played on that field over the years. What an amazing place," blogs Josh Rawitch, a lifelong fan before he became the team's VP for Public Relations and Broadcasting.
