Now the 64 worst things about L.A. *

Riffing a little on Los Angeles magazine's 64 Greatest Things in L.A. contest, Los Angeles Metblogs has started polling on the 64 Worst Things about L.A. The blog's competitive pairings are as goofy as the magazine's:

Leaf blowers vs Fry's
Use of the term "illegals" vs. Illegal Immigration itself
Uptalkers vs. No Twizzlers/Jujyfruits at concessions
Cellphone Yappers vs. American Apparel

Metblogs promises two a day. Meanwhile, voting has just closed on the second round of the magazine's transparent scheme to lure website visitors. Survivors in the Sweet 16 will be announced in April. First round victors included the Arclight over the Watts Towers, Pink’s over the Bradbury Building and Central Library over Vin Scully.

Add Los Angeles: The 75 Best Restaurants feature in the April issue is now online. [* Nope -- just the teaser, then you have to buy the magazine. Eater LA reviews the new starred rating system.]
