Lakers win the west *

By beating the Sacramento Kings tonight 124-101, the Lakers won finished atop the Western Conference — and, of course, get home court advantage in the preliminary rounds of the NBA playoffs. The Lakers end the season 57-25 and begin the playoffs this weekend against Denver or Dallas. (I stand corrected: they have to win the Western Conference championship in the playoffs.) ESPN
