Darryl Strawberry, the book

You could say that former Dodger and product of Los Angeles Darryl Strawberry had the book thrown at him so often he should write one. Well, now he is. According to the flackage, "Straw" will detail his life growing up in the Crenshaw area, "his rise to baseball superstardom as a Met, Dodger, and Yankee, the high life and low life, his brushes with the law, his triumphant battle over cancer, his religious awakening, and his marriage." John Strausbaugh is helping with the words and Ecco plans to publish in the spring, says Publishers Lunch.
