"This is unbelievable," one of the ABC announcers gasped when the Celtics went up by 29 points in the third quarter. (Soon to be 37.) They had more than a dozen steals at the time, with the Lakers showing no life on defense and making no penetration or key baskets on offense. Kobe Bryant, facing elimination, went 24 minutes with one basket. At 4:01, the Celtics stars came out and the scrubs got to play. "Complete domination," said the announcer. "Utter destruction of the Lakers."

And it's a final: 131-92. Uh, a bit too much blatant celebration — with sons and babies on the sidelines — before the end of the game. Jackson says post-game that the Lakers were on their heels the entire game. The players need to be more aggressive next season: "We'll look back on this favorably."
