Another look at the Westside's salons

Heather ThomasActress-writer Heather Thomas's monthly breakfast gatherings (with her husband, entertainment lawyer Skip Brittenham) in Santa Monica lead the roundup of a "burgeoning breed of über-stylish salonistas" in the September issue of Angeleno magazine. The story is really just there to hold up a layout of interior design photos, but also mentioned are Maria and Kevan Johnson's Salon Oblique in Venice and Ilan Dei's design studio gatherings in Venice. Also in the issue: why rising star of green fashion Linda Loudermilk's eco-lifestyle store never opened as promised on Melrose. A bankruptcy case going to court next week yields some clues, the magazine says.
