Officer Desha funeral will be Thursday *

Officer Spree DeshaSigns have begun going up in Downtown advising commuters. A funeral procession for Officer Spree Desha will begin at Parker Center at 8:45 am Thursday and move to the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels for a 9:30 am service. An honors ceremony will follow in the cathedral plaza. As usual, plan accordingly for traffic delays or to pay your respects.

* Noted: The Advocate has posted a story about Desha that quotes her life partner, Laura Gerritsen, saying "she was such a giver -- she didn't have a bone of hate in her body."
