Dodgers' bullpen blows the game, 7-5

The Dodgers fought back tonight to twice take the lead from the Phillies, but relief pitchers Cory Wade and Jonathan Broxton each gave up two-run homers in the eighth inning to lose the game. Instead of tying the series heading into Wednesday's game, the Dodgers trail 3-1 and face elimination. Dodger hitters received eight walks but they left 12 men on base, including six in scoring position. After Mayor Villaraigosa departed the McCourts' field box, the stadium camera showed Barbra Streisand seated next to Jamie McCourt. The team also announced a crowd of 56,800, in excess of the official 56,000 capacity, even though an entire section on the blue reserve level was given over to an auxiliary press box.

Noted: Seven players and coaches were fined for last night's brushback war.
