Anyone who goes to Dodger Stadium or pays much attention to the team has probably heard Vin Scully's call of Kirk Gibson's pinch-hit home run in the 1988 World Series a zillion times. But Dodger Thoughts has posted rare audio footage of the late Don Drysdale making the call on radio. Nice to hear Drysdale again, and at probably his most excited ever. Be prepared for 90-plus seconds of pure crowd noise.
* Tangentially related, at best, but so what: Thanks to the Sons of Steve Garvey blog for a pointer to this original Star Trek clip, showing Captain Kirk in what must be the lamest TV fight scene ever aired.
