Playboy to quit Santa Monica

The photo studio in Santa Monica will be sublet and the functions there — photo shoots and the L.A.-based editors of Playboy magazine — will move over to a production facility near Glendale. Eighty positions companywide are also being cut, and expenses for travel, entertainment and even bottled water will be reduced, according to a regulatory filing reported by Xbiz.
