"Carne asada is not a crime," attorney Phil Greenwald said again, perhaps for the last time, after DA Steve Cooley's office said Friday that it would not appeal a judge's ruling that tossed out the county's law against taco trucks. The law had required taco trucks in unincorporated eras of the county, places like East Los Angeles, to move every hour or face $1,000 fines and possible jail time. No response yet from Supervisor Gloria Molina, who pushed for the law.
