tanker drop in OC fire: Jonathan Alcorn

Oh no -- LAO Lite again? Not to worry, Kevin gets back tomorrow and things return to normal. Meanwhile, there's news:

Of the three wildfires now burning in SoCal, the Freeway Complex blaze in Orange County is the most active. Almost 24,000 acres burned and close to 200 homes and apartments, most in Yorba Linda and Anaheim, destroyed. Firefighters were reporting 19 percent containment, according to the OC Register.

Also in the LA Times, which pegs total acreage burned in SoCal at more than 35,000.

The LAFD says the Sayre fire near Sylmar is 40 percent contained. Lots of stats and details on the LAFD blog.

Stats and info on the Tea fire on the Montecity FD's web site, and on SB County's web site.
