Among the journalists laid off in today's announcement of cutbacks at National Public Radio are "Day to Day" co-host Madeleine Brand, "News & Notes" host Farai Chideya, senior correspondent John McChesney in San Francisco, Washington reporter Libby Lewis and Portland-based Ketzel Levine, the Washington Post's Paul Farhi said tonight on Which Way, L.A.? He also has it in tomorrow's paper. I confirmed earlier that L.A.-based Hollywood reporter Kim Masters is among those leaving the network.
