Joseph Sanders, CHP officer was 29

Officer Sanders was killed this morning on the eastbound 60 Freeway in Hacienda Heights when struck by a car while he was tending to a traffic accident. Sanders leaves a wife and children ages 7, 3 and 10 months. His wife is pregnant with their fourth child. Sanders is the third officer from the Santa Fe Springs CHP office to die in the line of duty since 2004, and the 214th death in the history of the California Highway Patrol.
