Kavanaugh's day in court delayed, like his check

Hollywood financier Ryan Kavanaugh's arraignment on fresh DUI and probation violation charges has been put over to Jan. 22. By then, Sheriff Lee Baca's charity hopes that Kavanaugh makes good on a $56,000 pledge made last April, says Michael Cieply at the New York Times. Kavanaugh used that pledge to argue for cool guy treatment at his last trial for driving under the influence. His spokesman assures the sheriff's office that the check is in the mail.
