Candace Parker caps golden year

The Sparks' Candace Parker won the WNBA's most valuable player award — and rookie of the year, plus an Olympic gold medal and a national championship at Tennessee before turning pro — and now she is pregnant. "We feel blessed," Parker said in a statement for her and husband Shelden Williams, who plays for the Sacramento Kings. No due date was confirmed, but Sparks General Manager Penny Toler said she thinks Parker can be be back playing basketball by mid-June.
