The Dodgers' angriest man will retire Thursday at the stadium as the leading all-time home run hitter among second basemen. In just four seasons with L.A., he also slugged enough home runs to rank third in Dodgers' 2B history behind Davey Lopes and Jackie Robinson. Compared to the last star second baseman to be voted into the baseball Hall of Fame, Ryne Sandberg, Kent has higher averages across the board, 74 more home runs, more hits and games played, and they won the same number of MVP awards. Sandberg had a more sterling reputation as a fielder. Let the debate begin — but I think he eventually gets in.
